Stephen Porteus : Partner

Qualified as a solicitor in 1976, became a partner in Marrons in 1977. Stephen was involved in the leading industrial deafness case Thompson -v- Smiths Shiprepairers in 1983, a test case which led to a Compensation Scheme for employees suffering from noise induced deafness being established. Between 1977 and 1999 he acted for many thousands of members of the GMB, one of the leading Trade Unions in the North East. Stephen also specialises in Skiing related injury claims.
